DOROTHY LOUISE WOOD 88, transitioned from this earthly tabernacle on March 22, 2024. She was born December 7, 1935, to the late Charlie and Nina Robinson in Ahoskie, North Carolina. Dorothy was a caregiver for many years after she completed school. Dorothy loved the Lord and gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was the Church Mother for Greater Works Ministry. She was known to be seen at family gatherings, which she loved, and going shopping.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, James Wood; children, Pamela Elliott, Bridgette Wartham; parents, Charlie and Nina Robinson; six brothers, Charlie Robinson, Jr., Vernon Robinson, James Robinson, Willie Robinson, LeRoy Robinson, John Linwood Robinson and three sisters, Elaine Washington, Doris Burton, Edith Wynn.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories, seven children, Gloria Holloman, Larry Wood (Carolyn), Darlene McKinzie, Lafayette Wood, Janice Hill, Toni Floyd (Leon), Terri Jackson; sister, Joyce Robinson; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
