Olinda L. Charity

On April 12, 2024, our beloved mother peacefully transitioned from this life to her glorious home in Heaven.

She was born on June 9, 1933 in Southampton County, VA to Rossie and Sylvia Warren and was educated in the Southampton County public school system. Olinda was married to the Purcell Charity and from their union their beautiful family was formed.  She enjoyed watching her daily soap operas, doing “Find the Word” puzzles and spending time with her loving family.

Olinda was predeceased by her husband, Purcell Charity; parents, James Rossie Warren, Sylvia Bernice Joe Warren; brothers, Melvin Warren, Paul Warren, James Jones; and her only sister, Lois Warren Haskins.

Olinda leaves to cherish her fond memories, her children, Purcell Charity Jr. (Sandra), Charlotte, NC, Arbodella Cornelius (Robert), Chesapeake, VA, Velma Charity, Chesapeake, VA, Elaine Charity, Carrolton, TN, Monica Charity, Norfolk, VA; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
