Arthur Frank Goodwin

Arthur Frank Goodwin, 95, passed away Jan. 30, 2018. He was born Sept. 28, 1922 to the late Felix and Lucille Goodwin in Lawrence, Kansas. He was predeceased by his wife, Henrietta S. Goodwin.

Arthur served in the US Army in World War 2 and Korean War.  He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 serving over 20 years. He also served 26 years in Civil Service.  He was a dedicated member of First Lynnhaven Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 40 years. He served as Post Commander of the Local VFW 392 from 1991-92 and was a lifetime member.

He is survived by his niece, Jeanette Smith (Alvin); his nephew, Glen Spence (Shelley); special sister-in-law, Hortense Spence; his special best friends, James Copeland and Paul (Deborah); a godson, Claude Baxter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
