Earnest C. Smith

Earnest Christopher Smith, affectionately known to family and friends as "Butch", was born on March 21, 1952 to the late Margaret McCoy Smith in Brooklyn, NY. He peacefully transitioned to our Father's heavenly home on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA.

Butch was an avid football fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  He also enjoyed watching westerns, and burned out the TV watching King Kong. He was medically retired from Venture Supply in Norfolk, VA.

 Butch was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret McCoy Smith and a sister, Lorraine Gorum .

Left to cherish his fond memories is his sister, Harriett McCoy; aunt, Delores Ash (William); a special cousin, Mellick Holley; a special niece, Connie Williams and a host other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He also leaves a companion of over 37 years, Mary E. Jordan and his extended family the Jordan & Turner Family.
