Ezra S. Salter

Ezra Scott Salter was born on December 2, 1980 to the proud parents of Jimmie and Virtys Salter in Shreveport, LA. He was the love of their lives and was affectionately known as “Scotty” to many family members and friends. In 1984, Ezra and his parents moved from Bakersfield, CA, to Va. Beach, VA where he was raised.

Ezra loved sports and was a very competitive team player. He participated in community soccer, baseball, football, loved bowling, swimming, movies and was even on the Green Run High School Wrestling team. After graduation he attended Tidewater Community College and shortly after, Ezra decided he was ready for the work force.

Ezra joined Piney Grove Baptist Church at an early age under the late Pastor Charles A. Vinson and was very active in the church’s Boy’s Club. It was often said by many that he was a loyal and true friend.

Ezra leaves to celebrate and cherish his memory, his parents, Jimmie and Virtys Salter of Va. Beach, VA; aunts, Dorothy Rhone (Isaac), Mary Smith (Willie) of Cullen, LA, Helen Richards and Beverly Scott of Bakersfield, CA, Diane Clinton (Kenny) of Hanford, CA, Bertha Salter of Kansas City, KS, Dorothy Walton of Reno, NV, Linda Salter of Dryden, VA; uncles, Melvin Scott (Felicia), Ollie Scott (Regina), Archie Scott, Robert Scott (Teresa) all of Bakersfield, CA, James Salter of Rayne, LA, Elisha Jones of Shreveport, LA; his dog, Grace and a host of other relatives and friends.
