Ira McIntosh Watters

Ira McIntosh Watters, 51, answered the Master’s call to eternal rest on March 22, 2018.  She was born February 27, 1967 to Frances Yvonne Carter and the late David Jones in Newport News, VA.  She was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Carter.

Ira was educated in the Newport News Public School system.  She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, Newport News.  She worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Riverside Medical Center until her health began to fail. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Anthony Watters; six children, Ashley McIntosh, Ashia McIntosh, Aaliyah White, Nellie Harris, Tamika Watters and Khadiji Watters; her mother, Frances Yvonne Carter; two brothers, David Gilchrist and Tony Carter; four sisters, Carol Carter, Marcella Carter, Robin Carter and Nicole Clemons; three sisters-in-law, Lillian Trotter, Phyllis Bonner (Richard) and Patricia Sadberry (William); one brother-in-law, Horace Watters; four grandchildren; nephew, Malik Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
