Irene Elizabeth (Gary) Sharpe

Irene Elizabeth Sharpe, 54, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018. She was born July 31, 1964 in Virginia Beach, VA.  She was predeceased by her father, Charles H. Gary.

Irene was educated in the Virginia Beach City Public School system.  Shewas employed with Virginia Beach City Public Schools and the City of Virginia Beach for over 8 years.  She was a member of Sheepgate COGIC, VB.  Irene was a huge Redskins fan.

Irene was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was the definition of a people person, who loved laughing and joking with everyone. She had a great sense of humor that would brighten your day.  She was a hard worker and lived her life to the fullest.

She is survived by two children, Nicole Gary-Privott (Mario) and Genearl Gary; her mother, Carrie Lee Butts; one sister, Erica White (Anthony); five grandchildren, Tresure Gary, Carli Gary, Nyzier Gary-Privott, Jaylen Gary and London Gary; three special friends, Levy Price, Faith Dozier and Debbie Robinson; stepfather, Preston Moore, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
