James Christopher Jackson, 58, entered into eternal rest on September 16, 2019. He was born on December 25, 1960 to the late James M. Jackson and Ella B. Jackson in Hartsville, South Carolina.
Although he was born in Hartsville, South Carolina, James was raised in Brooklyn, New York and Middletown, Connecticut. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, New York. He was employed as a driver for Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Virginia. James was known as a man of many talents and that inspired him to become an entrepreneur. He was an avid NY Giants football fan. James also loved fishing, baseball, laughter and making people happy.
Besides his father, James was predeceased by his siblings, Elizabeth and Lawrence Stuckey; uncle, George Cooks and aunt, Leatrice Cooks Blackwood.
James leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 27 years, Dorothy E. Jackson; children, Quenisha L. Williams, Winter G. Davis (Kenneth), Betty M. Gray; eight grandchildren, Demonte’, Javonte’ and Tylonte’ Ingram, Kiwania Fields, Kisandra Davis, Iyss Fields, Justice and Darryus George; siblings, Megan M. Hayes (Teddy), Dianne E. Moody (Todd R. Heft), Donald, Irving, John, Ellwood, Paul, Denise, Raymond and Melvin Harris, Beverly, Priscilla, Marty and Kenneth Stuckey, Wendy and Luis Antuana, Matinez Folk, June and Lillie Echevarria; aunts & uncles, Sylviaree Frierson, Frank Cooks, Paul Cooks Jr. (Lucille), Helen Hawkins (Lyde), Willie Cooks, Karim Bahiy (Veronica), Addie Thompson, Walter Cooks (Sandra), Roosevelt Cooks (Susie); special friends, Tony C.
