Noelies Marie Robinson was called home to her Lord and Savior on January 3, 2020. She was born October 23, 1929 in Castries, St Lucia. She was the first born of six children, Charles, Wilson, Sanie, Rittie, Carmen, and Janette, to her mother and father Hellen and Haines Noel. As a child, Noelies migrated to Georgetown, Guyana where she met and married her late husband Edward “Eddie” Robinson. Noelies and Eddie had five children; Joan Chapman, Norma James, Morris Robinson, Shirley London, and Daisy Burkett.
In 1974, Noelies migrated to Brooklyn, NY where her family continued to grow. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren (10 Boys and 4 girls); The late George, Floyd, Jude, Jason, Edward, Jermaine, Morris, Samantha, Julian Jr, Roy Jr, Mark, Sasiya, Natasha, and Latoya. In 1999, Noelies moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia. She resided with her two great grandsons Isaiah and
Elijah, who she raised from babies. Noelies was a very loving mother, daughter, wife, sister, grandmother, cousin and friend. She always kept her doors open to those in needed. She believed in never letting anyone go hungry. She taught her children and grandchildren to always offer a glass of water to anyone who passes through. And her
only request was to have loud singing and slow marching at her going home. Noelies leaves behind one brother (Wilson), two sisters (Rittie and Carmen), four children (Joan, Norma,
Morris, and Daisy), two sons-in-law’s (Roy “Uncle Roy” Burkett and Julian “J” London), 13 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren, and 11 Great Great Grandchildren.
