Norma Jones Obituary
Norma Jean Jones, 87, departed this life on March 10, 2018 to her eternal home. She was born May 19, 1930 to the late Robert Rudolph Taylor and Lucille Elsie Lowe in Dayton, Ohio.
She was predeceased by her ex-husband, Ernest A. Jones, Sr.; her grandparents, Alberta Clark-Williamson, William Columbus Clark and Neal Williamson; a sister, Lelia Alberta Tyree; a brother, Robert Rudolph Taylor, Jr. “Sonny” and several cousins, Brenda L. Melson, Shirley Gipson, Norman Banks, Theodore Banks and Charles Banks.
Norma was a 1948 graduate of Dunbar High School and received her Master’s degree in Sociology from Sinclair Community College. She was a retired Social Worker and continued her career as a private Security Guard at the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
In her leisure time, Norma enjoyed word puzzles, watching investigation & mystery movies and helping other people.
She is survived by three children, Lee Ann Jones, Mark Jones and Ernest A. Jones, Jr.; two grandchildren, Charilia Jones and Quinton Jones; seven great grandchildren, Talia C. Willie, Alexis F. Jones, Tyanna D. Willie, Noah Jones, Issac Jones, Angelise Jones and Zaria Grady; and a host of other relatives and friends.
