Raymond Michael Rushing, 58, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away Sunday, September 8th, 2019 after having had a life well lived. He was born in Boston, MA, on December 14th, 1960 to William “Bill” and Joan Rushing and raised on the island of Oahu, HI. Ray graduated from Robert A. Millikan High School in Long Beach, CA, and attended Leeward Community College in Honolulu, HI.
Ray’s family and many friends remember him for his easy-going nature and passionate work ethic. Anything that Ray did, he did to the very best of his ability and recently celebrated his six-year anniversary at Sam’s Club where he earned the love and respect of his friends and coworkers. His use of the phrase “Wuhu” to signify his enthusiasm, support, and love for his friends and family is fondly remembered by everyone that he encountered.
