Rita C. Almarales

Rita Catherine Almarales, 85, entered into eternal rest on January 9, 2020. She was born on February 4, 1934 in Port of Spain, Trinidad to the late Edward and Albertha Meyers.

As a young woman, Rita moved her family to the United States and they lived in Bronx, NY. She worked for 36 years as a Payroll Booking Clerk for the Bell Telephone Company. Rita was very active and after retirement, you could find her at the senior center, attending different classes like exercising, dancing, aerobics, swimming and yoga. She was a great cook and loved her family.

Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by two brothers, Matthew Meyers, Edward S. Meyers Jr. and one sister, Patricia Cato.

Rita leaves to cherish her memory her children, Cathy Smith, Gerard Almarales, Curtis Meyers (Dorothy); grandchildren, Gina Almarales, Keisha Smith, Kendall Smith, Kimberly Smith, Michael Smith Jr., Ashia Almarales, Noah Almarales, Anthony M. Meyers; siblings, Monica Landeau, Frances Meyers, Theresa Greasley, Cynthia Meyers, Anthony Meyers and a host of other relatives and friends.
