Willie A. Smith Jr.

Willie Augustus Smith, Jr., 59, entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2019. He was born on July 14, 1960 in Norfolk, VA to the late Willie A. Smith, Sr. and the late Fannie Coffield Smith.

Willie was a dishwasher, caterer and custodian at the Shifting Sands Beach Club at Dam Neck in Virginia Beach for 18 years. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, and he loved to make people laugh.

Besides his parents, Willie was predeceased by his grandmother, Essie Coffield; brother-in-law, Taaliba Sahib, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Diane Smith; stepdaughter, Marquita Harvey; stepson, Christopher Harvey; sisters, Cynthia Sahib, Sharon Pick; brothers, Jeffrey Smith, Michael Smith, Jackie Coffield; foster brother, Jack Riddick; special devoted friend, Cynthia Harvey; best friend, Lori Shensky-Rubio, and a host of other relatives and friends.
