Ahmad Jamal Gibbs, 47, entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2023.
Ahmad was born in Portsmouth, VA to Samuel L. Gibbs and the late Elouise A. Gibbs. He was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system and attended Green Run High School. As a young man, Ahmad was a Boycott. He loved soccer and football, and his favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ahmad was predeceased by his mother, Elouise A. Gibbs; grandparents, Nathan and Ollie Coleman; and sister-in-law, Patrice Wofford.
Ahmad leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Kaleb Maynard, Topeka, Kansas; father, Samuel L. Gibbs; siblings, Nathaniel Wofford, Tyrone Gibbs, Jennifer Wofford, Rodney Wofford (Stacey); aunts, Azalene James, Jacksonville, FL, Vernita Gibbs, Jesup, GA, Marilyn Edwards, Columbus, GA; uncles, Johnl Gibbs, Joseph Gibbs Sr., Antonio Gibbs all of Jesup, GA, Robert Coleman, Key West, FL; friend, Sarah Maynard. Ahmad is also survived by a host of cousins throughout the state of Florida and Washington, DC.
