Akili R. McGruder

Akili Roosevelt McGruder, 25, transitioned from this life on July 11, 2021. He was born on November 22, 1995 in Norfolk, Virginia to his parents Stephanie Mack and Roosevelt McGruder, Sr.

Akili was educated in the Virginia Beach Public School System and graduated from Bayside High School in 2014. Akili was a successful entrepreneur and owned his own clothing line called Zero Depth. He enjoyed watching basketball and watch his favorite player Lebron James play. Akili was also a football fan, and the Pittsburgh Steelers was his favorite team. Akili had many hobbies including photography, skating, rapping, and dancing/jerking.   

Akili was predeceased by his grandparents, Ollie and Roosevelt McGruder, Sr.
