Alonzo Roane

Alonzo Divine Roane, 19, departed from this life to forever be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 11, 2020.

Alonzo, affectionately known as “Zo”, was born on July 18, 2000 in Chesapeake, VA to Takemia L. Cornegy and Lonzo L. Roane.  He was dedicated to the Lord as an infant and received Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, VA. Alonzo attends Impact Worship Center International under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Brennetta C. Williams, Senior pastor.

Alonzo was educated in the Virginia Beach Public Schools system until he entered high school and transferred to the Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School.  Alonzo played various sports throughout his educational career but gravitated towards football.  He graduated from the Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School with a scholarship to college.  Alonzo then attended Glenville State College in West Virginia.

Alonzo was predeceased by his Grandfathers, Steven W. Divine Speights and Norman Roane.

Cornegy Jr.; God Mother Shamara Alston-Chase and a host of other great aunts and great uncles, cousins, family members and friends
