Angela Maria Peguero, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at the age of 52. Born and raised in New York, Angela lived a life marked by service, strength, and devotion—to her country, her family, and her faith.
Angela proudly served 26 years in the United States Navy, rising to the rank of Senior Chief. Throughout her distinguished military career, she was a mentor, leader, and source of unwavering support to those who served alongside her. Her dedication and resilience left a lasting impact on all who had the honor of serving with her.
Beyond her military accomplishments, Angela had a warm and vibrant spirit. She found joy in the little things—shopping sprees, getting her nails done, and spending time with her beloved chickens (aka her children), which always brought a smile to her face. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she found comfort, strength, and community in her faith.
Angela’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her five cherished children: Lanasia Allen, Andrew “TJ” (Marcus) Moffett, Ashlee (Kenneth) Johnson, Arieana Moffett, and Gabriella Moffett. She was a devoted daughter to Timotheo and Carmen Peguero, and a loving sister to her brother Tim Peguero and sister-in-law Beatriz Peguero. Her nephews, Timothy and Matthew Peguero, will always remember her warmth, guidance, and the love she poured into their lives.
Angela’s legacy is one of courage, love, and faith. She leaves behind a family strengthened by her values and inspired by her example. Though she has left this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service celebrating Angela’s life will be held on a later date.
