Annie Christeen Thigpen, 56, affectionately known as “Christeen”, transitioned from this life on November 17, 2021. She was born on July 3, 1965 in Virginia Beach, VA to the late Willie Sr., and Annie I. Thigpen.
Christeen was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system, she attended Kellam High School and graduated from Cox High School. After graduation, Christeen furthered her education at Commonwealth College in the Medical Assistant program.
Christeen worked as a housekeeper at Red Roof Inn. Christeen was a people person. She loved going to parties and hosting gatherings and inviting over anyone she knew. Christeen loved cooking on the grill and listening to reggae music.
Besides her parents, Christeen was predeceased by two brothers, Willie and Alphonso Thigpen; and a niece, Alyssa Thigpen.
Christeen leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Keith House; children, Keionta, Ditron, and Ahmad Thigpen; granddaughter, Ny’Shi Thigpen; sisters, Carolyn Thigpen-Cross (Jerry), Doris Dozier; brothers, Michael Johnson (Kristal), Ronald (Christina) and Alphonso Thigpen; nieces, Chantrell, Asia, Jovonna, Tinita; nephews, Joseph Jr., Alphonso “Fonzo” Gray, Demetrus Lawrence, Vanshawn and Jerrod Thigpen; great nieces and nephews, Eric and Khaliah; aunt, Brenda Griggs (Johnny); uncles, Burtrice Palmer (Elaine), Clifton Palmer (Jo-Ann); grandparents, Jonas and Thelma Palmer, Ada and Willie Thigpen; favorite cousin, Deshawn Johnson; special friends, Francine Kennedy, Tabitha Bridges, Kyesha Mizell; and a host of numerous relatives such as the Palmers, Thigpens, and Crumbles.
