Occupation/Years of Service: Retired Grants Technician after 10 years from HHS/NIH in Rockville, MD - Federal Government; Owner of two janitorial services

Military Background: United States Navy, Served 20 years as a Boatswain; Mate First Class Petty Officer, USS Guam, USS Shreveport; Participated in the Desert Shield/Storm Conflict and Ensuing Gulf War; Retired his naval career stationed at Naval Undersea Surface Warfare.

Education: Baltimore City Public Schools; Graduated from the prestigious Baltimore City College and attended Morgan State University to study Political Science.

Hobbies/Other Information: Avid fan of the Temptations. There was nothing he didn’t know about them. He also was a historian of Baltimore, MD, a city that he loved. Steven also loved to write stories, he could draw quite well, and last but not least, he knew the Bible from his vast upbringing. Steven was a political enthusiast who marched with the likes of the late Honorable Elijah E. Cummings.

Predeceased By: His father, Robert Louis Hill; brother, Mark Graylin Hill; sisters, Glynnis Paige Hill, Robin Nicole Hill; grandparents, Thomas and Lucinda Anderson, Ebenezer and Rosa Hill

Spouse: Loving wife of 20 years, Sheila Lynn Hill

Children: He asked me not to use the word step, so I won’t. His two sons, Lamar Stevens (Celena), Andrew Stevens (Kiara)

Grandchildren: Imani, Andre’ and Marquis Stevens

Parents: Mother, Addie Virginia Anderson Hill; Steven grew to feel exceptionally close to and had love and respect for his parents-n-love and they were a vast help in his care, John and Hazel Smith.

Siblings: Sisters, Rosalyn Francesca Hill, Kendall Patrice Hill, Pamela Thomas Watkins; brother, OgatuIbrahima Kassama (Millecent)

Aunts: Blanche Anderson Williams, Shelia Anderson

Nieces: Kimberly Scroggins, Paige Scoggins, Shanika Smith, Jamesha Smith, Alice Woodhouse, Tayja Smith

Nephews: Aaron Turner, Morgan Scroggins, Calvin Watkins, Cameron Watkins, Aiden Turner, Ronny Dixon, Jr., Jonathan Smith III, Jonathan Thomas Sr., Johnathan Thomas Jr., Jayveon Ricks, Xavier Dixon, Tayshaun Smith, Andra Woodhouse and Domonique Woodhouse
