Obituary
Barbara Ann Owens, 68, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home on May 1, 2023.
Barbara was born on October 2, 1954, in Norfolk, VA to the late Margaret Lamb and Oliver Owens; but was raised in the heart of Virginia Beach. She was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system. Barbara was an Executive Housekeeper for over 30 years, and she retired from Old Dominion University. She loved sharing stories with her family and friends whom she loved dearly.
Barbara was predeceased by one son, Michael Owens; parents, Margaret Lamb and Oliver Owens; siblings, Pamela Vinson, Sarah Owens and Phyllis Corprew.
Barbara leaves to cherish her fond memories, her daughter, Kaira Cox; nine grandchildren, Kayce, Amari, Michael Jr., Mikeiya, Isis, Johaun, Eric, Scot’lyn, Michael Antonio; brother, Oliver Owens, Jr.; special friends, Linda, Smoochie, Kim, Chris G., Beaka; favorite nephew, Roshaud Owens; a host of favorite nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
