Barbara Williams Obituary

Barbara Louise Baker Williams, passed October 28, 2020 due to complications from a long term respiratory illness.  Barbara was born in Carrolltown, PA on October 30, 2020, the second of four children born to Clement and Regina Baker.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brother William Baker. 

Barbara graduated from John Carroll high school in 1959.  On June 25, 1960, she married her high school sweetheart, Brett Williams Sr.  She is survived by her husband, her son, Brett Williams, Jr. (Melanie), daughter, Karen Hudgins Fields, son, Terry Williams.  She has four grand-children.  Grandson, Brandon Hudgins, granddaughters, Heather Hudgins, Spencer Williams, Ramsey Williams and 3 great-grand sons.  She is also survived by her older sister, Jean Sharbaugh, and brother Gerald Baker, (Barbara) and numerous nieces and nephew.

Barbara was devoted mother and captain of her family.  She served her country as a career navy spouse.  Barbara worked tirelessly as a server, first at Giant Open Air market, and later at various restaurant establishments from the Pembroke area to the Virginia Beach oceanfront.  She instilled in her children a strong respect for others. Barbara enjoyed playing bingo and the Eagles club.    

A visitation is planned at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 1061 Newton Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462 where the family will receive visitors on November 4, 2020 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
