Calvin Thomas, affectionately known to many as “C.T.,” passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 67.
Calvin was born on July 30, 1958, in the state of Arkansas to the late Ola Mae Grant Thomas and Arthur D. Thomas. He later moved to Shreveport, Louisiana, where he was raised in the Stoner Hill subdivision. It was there that Calvin developed his love for sports and music. He especially enjoyed playing basketball and was passionate about music, most notably the trumpet.
Calvin attended Grambling University, where he proudly played the trumpet in the marching band. After college, he made the decision to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. He was stationed in Norfolk Virginia, working on the Naval Base, and eventually made Virginia his permanent home.
Calvin was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, papa, and friend. He was known for his warm spirit and friendly nature, he truly never met a stranger. Wherever he went, Calvin had a way of making people feel special and welcomed. His loving smile, contagious laughter, and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Though he will be deeply missed, the love, joy, and memories Calvin shared will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
