Charles Edward Parrish was born on July 16, 1941 in Harlem, New York to Charles Edward & Evelyn Dunk Parrish. After his father passed when he was 2, he went to live with his Uncle and Grandmother in White Plains, New York. They eventually moved to the Bronx, New York where he graduated from Taft High School, attended Adelphi University on Long Island and joined the Army.
in 1962 he met the love of his life, Sandra Cutting; they were married on May 4, 1963. Two sons, Scott and Marc were born from this union.
Charles retired from Coca Cola Co. after 22 years as a marketing & account executive; he made many accomplishments, received many awards fighting hard, earning each and every one.
Charles was a loving husband of 62 years, a dedicated father and trusted friend. He never met a stranger, was outgoing, loving, smiled all the time, could talk to anybody about anything for any length of time, thought his jokes were funny and expected you to think so too! He loved life, people, travel and Piney Grove Baptist Church. He served as a Trustee at Piney Grove for many years; retired from that position in 2018 and was honored as Trustee Emeritus. He will be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Sandy (SAM); Sons, Scott Edward Parrish (Shana) & Marc Edward Parrish, Grandson Wayne Nelson Parrish (Jamie), Granddaughters Haley Michele Parrish & Christina Johnson, Great Grandson Zadin Parrish, Great Granddaughters Aleigh & Ariella Johnson, Amora & Aubriella Parrish, Nephew Dr. Stephen Providence, Niece Andrea Robinson, Sister-In-Law Barbara Barzey, Life-long friends Florence Chambers and Michelle Downey along with a host of many other relatives, friends and his beloved Piney Grove Baptist Church Family.
