Darlene Williams, 59, entered into eternal rest to go to her Heavenly home on October 8, 2020.
Darlene was born on August 15, 1961 in Virginia Beach, VA to the late Catherine Bell and Tom Willie Owens. She was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system and continued her education at Bayside High School. She was a faithful member of the Gift of Life Church, Virginia Beach, VA under the leadership of Pastor Alicia Gatlin and Bishop Bernell Gatlin for over 20 years. Darlene loved to sing and dance, so being in the choir was perfect for her.
Darlene was employed as a Custodian for over 20 years for the City of Virginia Beach at Kempsville Middle School. She was a funny lady with a great personality. Darlene was very kindhearted and loved making people happy. God blessed her with a gift, and she served the community by bringing joy and laughter. She loved her job, her church, but most of all, she loved her family.
Besides her parents, Darlene was predeceased by one grandson, Jermel Williams, Jr.
Darlene leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, her children, Toby Williams (Jamia Chapman), Ronnie Williams (Wykita Jones), Jermel Williams (Shannon Pete); grandchildren, Ronecia Jones, Ronequa Jones, Tijha Chapman, Jamiyah Mills, Ronnae’ Williams, Tychaun Chapman, Saniyah Mills, Jamianyi, Chapman, Jamir Chapman; great grandson, Damoni Walker; siblings, Larry Williams (Mary), Thomas Williams (Tonya); aunt, Delois Baker; uncle, Percell Bell, and a host of other relatives and friends.
