Delores James

Delores Hawkins James 77, went to be in Heaven’s Garden on October 7, 2023. She was born August 9, 1946 to the late Frances Preston and Mr. Hawkins in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Delores earned her associate degree in nursing and worked as a nurse in the health care profession for many years. She attended church and grew up as a Christian; however, once she was tied to the oxygen machine/tanks it was to difficult for her to maneuver.

Delores enjoyed reading, watching television, good music and talking to family.

Delores was predeceased by her husband, Grandville James; and her parents.

Delores leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Paris Garrett; sister, Janet Walker; grandchild, Iris Garrett; godson, Alveon Jackson; stepchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.
