Deonte Z. Stewart

Deonte’ Z. Stewart was born April 9, 1987 in Norfolk, Virginia to Yvette Stewart Taylor and Richard Z. Bennett. Deonte’ transitioned from this life on July 31, 2022. In his 35 years of life, Deonte’ touched many people with his kind and thoughtful spirit. Deonte’ was blessed with many gifts and talents that he used to help those around him. His smile would brighten up a room and people were naturally drawn to his warm and friendly personality.

Deonte’ attended Princess Anne High School and Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2008, he graduated from the Virginia Beach Police Academy and served a short term as a Virginia Beach Police Officer. Deonte’ was a true servant at heart. He was employed in the restaurant industry for over 19 years and ended his career at Bahama Breeze, Virginia Beach, VA where he was employed for over eight years.  He was a gifted handyman and computer guru. Deonte’ had a sincere desire to help anyone who needed his assistance.

Deonte’ married the love of his life, Honey Kidd Stewart on July 12, 2012. Their union was blessed with an amazing little girl, Gwenivere Jean who was born October 2, 2020. Deonte had an immeasurable and unconditional love for his wife and daughter. He also had a special bond with his mother, Yvette. Deonte’ loved to spend time with his mother designing and completing home improvement projects together. He was an amazing big brother to Shaunte and an awesome uncle to Aliyah.
