Donna Renee Barbee

Donna Renee Barbee was born on October 21, 1966 in Staten Island, NY and fell asleep on January 17, 2023, in Virginia Beach, VA. She was raised in Cape May, NJ and graduated from Middle Township High School in 1985. She worked for Ford Motor Company in Norfolk, VA from 1997-2007.

Donna’s hobbies included crafting, decorating, party planning, dancing, traveling, youth sports, volunteering, mentoring, and of course, shopping.

Donna was predeceased by Isadore Dickerson (father), Lucinda Dickerson (mother), Isadore Dickerson Jr. (brother), and Faith Lancaster (sister).

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years, Richard D. Barbee Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA; Richard Barbee Jr. (son) of Charlotte, NC; Ashleigh (Drey) Miller (daughter) of Virginia Beach, VA; Linda Dickerson (sister) of North Augusta, SC; Delisa Dickerson (sister) of Lakewood, CO; Althea “Darlene” (Michael) Czuprynski (sister) of Suffolk, VA; Lucinda (Paul) Shelton (sister) of Rio Grande, NJ; Michael Dickerson (brother) of Leesburg, NJ; Luzia Dickerson (sister) of Orlando, FL; Thomas (Kayla) Dickerson (brother) of Cape May, NJ; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Virginia Beach on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 10am for the viewing, and 11am for the Celebration of Life. Burial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA at 11am.
