Dorothy Mae Smith

Our beloved Dorothy Mae Smith departed this world on November 2, 2023 surrounded by those who loved her. She was born in Princess Anne County on January 26,1941 to the late Stella Jackson and Jerry Wilson.

She was predeceased by one son, Tommy Lee Wilson; one daughter, Clementine E. Jackson; and sister, Catherine Waller.

Dorothy leaves behind her sons, Darnell Wilson (Paula), Quentin Cortez Smith, Jerry Lee Wilson (Martha), Daniel Lee Wilson; daughters, Tanya Neville, Christine Crawford, Maryann Campbell; brother, Tony Wilson; and a host of loving grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Dorothy Mae had a smile and a laugh so big that if you knew her you can just see it and hear it as if she was still here. She loved cooking and seeing her family come together. Dorothy loved collecting elephants. She had a beautiful collection and would dare you to touch them! She also loved and adored President Obama, and had a collection of his pictures and anything related to him. 

To know her was to love her. She played hard ball, but loved just as hard. She didn’t take no mess. Dorothy Mae lived a life of love and will be deeply missed.
