Dwayne David Mitchell, 51, received his heavenly angel wings and entered into eternal freedom on April 25, 2024.
Dwayne was born as the nineth child on March 27, 1973 to the late Dessie McMiller and James McCombs. He was born with Meningitis of the brain and the doctors said he would never walk or talk. Dwayne showed us that God had other plans and proved those doctors wrong.
Dwayne was born and raised in the Bronx, NY and educated in the NYC public school system. He relocated to Virginia Beach with his family later on in life. He was a hardworking man who worked as a General Helper. His last job was a dishwasher for International House of Pancakes (IHOP).
Dwayne enjoyed wrestling and watching it on television. He loved people and everybody loved him. You would not be able to find a person who could say that they didn’t like him.
Besides his parents, Dwayne was predeceased by three sisters, Geneva and Frances Mitchell, Jeanette Brown; four brothers, Jerobert, Eddie, Jimmy, and Ronnie Mitchell; grandparents, James and Jeanette McMiller.
Dwayne leaves to cherish his fond memories, his siblings, Azalea McDavid (Michael), Jerome Mitchell (Tiffany), Chester Jackson (Karin), Katrina Brown (Mark Willoughby), Regina Brown (Tye Dickerson), Geneva Mitchell, Janet Mitchell, Wardell Mitchell (Salina), Jarel Evans, Derek Ceacal-Mitchell; special father/brother-in-law, Joseph Brown; and a host of other relatives, friends and IHOP co-workers.
