Edward Bullard Obituary

Edward Patrick Franklin Bullard, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026. He was born on August 16, 1940, in Nassau, Bahamas, to the late Ednold Bullard and Marjorie Bullard.

Edward began his early education in Nassau, Bahamas. He moved to Miami, Florida in 1955, where he graduated from Belglade High School, and began building a life rooted in service, family, and community.

While in Miami, Edward met the love of his life, Barbara, at a local grocery store. Their meeting marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together, and they were happily married for 65 years. From this union, five children were born: Randal, Richard, Renard, Reginald, and Robin.

Edward proudly served in the United States Navy for 28 years as an Aviation Electrician, retiring as a Senior Chief. Following his military career, he continued his dedication to service through civil service employment in Japan from 1995 to 2007.

Family was of utmost importance to Edward. He was known for his warm spirit, genuine kindness, discipline, and ability to connect with anyone—he truly never met a stranger. He loved people, and people loved him.

Edward enjoyed fishing and was an active member of a fishing club while living in Japan. He was an avid sports enthusiast and took pleasure in tinkering with car repairs. One of his prized possessions was his antique Comet automobile, which brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ednold and Marjorie Bullard, and by his three brothers, Ednold Bullard, Jr., Ashwood Bullard, and Harcourt Bullard.

Edward leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Barbara Bullard; his five children: Randal Bullard (Shandrica), Richard Bullard (Athena), Renard Bullard (Wendy), Reginald “Chuck” Bullard, and Robin Mbonisi; ten grandchildren: Khaleehah Bullard, Autumn Golson (Isiah), Korey Bullard, Ian Bullard, Daeja Dockery (Dawson), Nandi Mbonisi, Deven Bullard, Bram Bullard, Gabe Bullard, and Bilal Mbonisi; one great-granddaughter, Delanie; two daughters in love, Kim Moore, and Ave’ Bullard.

He is also survived by his sister Joan Bullard; brother Garry Bullard (Patricia); sisters-in-law Josie Bullard and Ruth Bullard; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Edward’s legacy of love, service, laughter, and connection will live on through the countless lives he touched. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
