Eldress Clarine Boone Cooper

Eldress Clarine Boone Cooper, 92, beloved mother and grandmother, began her rest in God's glory on May 4, 2022. She was the daughter of the Late James P. and Elnoria Boone of Gates, NC. She retired as an Educator from the VA Beach Public Schools after over 30 years of service. Eldress Cooper spent over 59 years in various ministries within the Church of Christ Disciples of Christ (COCDOC). She was Founder and Pastor Emeritus of Philippian Temple COCDOC, Norfolk, VA, and tirelessly served God until her reward.

She is preceded in reward by: Husband, Elder James Cooper; Parents, James P. and Elnoria Boone; Brother, James O. Boone. She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughter, Jarene C. Jones (Michael), of Virginia Beach; Son, Jonathan P. Cooper (Crystal), of Centreville, Virginia; Sister, Canzata Turner (James), of Petersburg, Virginia; Grandaughter, Jordan A. Cooper of Centreville, Virginia; Nephew, James A. Turner of Richmond, Virginia; Neices, Arleara Lamb, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Laura Jones, of Chesapeake, Virginia, as well as many many friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday May 13, 2022, from 6-8, at Philippian Temple COCDOC, located at 1300 Forge Street, Norfolk, Virginia. The Service of Victory will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022, at 11am, at Oakwood Chapel COCDOC, located at 982 Avenue E, Norfolk, Virginia.
