Ella Louise Wright, 78, was born to the late Walter & Lillie Mae Clark in Halifax, NC. She was raised in Scottland Neck, and graduated from Brawley High School. Right after graduation, Ella moved to Virginia Beach, VA to pursue a career.
Ella worked at Virginia Beach General Hospital in the Environmental Service Department. In 2007 in honor of her 20 years of service and commitment, Ella was recognized in the Tidal Waves newspaper. After 30 years at the hospital, Ella retired. She loved cooking and playing Bingo, but most of all, she loved her family.
Besides her parents, Ella was predeceased by her husband, Charles Elisha Wright; siblings, Willie James Lawrence, Nanny Clark, Walter Clark, Jr. and one great grandson, Joshua Wright.
Ella leaves to cherish her fond memories, her children, Zovvie Wright, Fran Wright; grandchildren, Staff Sergeant Mr. Shavis Wright (Jennifer), Cashiba, Shana, LaStuart, Tyquawne, Diamond, Jasmine, Devonta Wright; great grandchildren, Kamiya, Lashanti, Askyia, Evren Wright; sister, Mrs. Willie Mae Parker; special aunts, Mrs. Patti Moring, Mrs. Luvenia Day; cousin, Minnie Lassiter; sister-in-law, Mrs. Vivian Wright-Oliver; family friends, Teresa Colonel, Renee Johnson and her siblings; and a host of other relatives and friends.
