Ferron Cofield, was born June 15, 1972, in Virginia Beach, Virginia to Betty Cofield. He was educated in Virginia Beach Public Schools and later received his GED. His appreciation for knowledge transcended into his love of books and as a result he became an avid reader. His literary selections were expansive and included but not limited to history, culture, and religion. He was a true renaissance man. Ferron was always exceptionally neat and organized. He was a writer, poet, and an intellectual.
Ferron was predeceased by his grandmother, Helen Cofield, his aunt Barbara Jennings, and his great-aunt Hannah Hinton. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jennifer Cofield; one son, Andrew Cofield; two step children, Shamya and Solomon Davis; one grand-daughter, Aaliyha-Rose; Mother and Step-Father, Betty Cofield-Foreman and Fletcher Foreman; Mother and Father In-Law, David and Miriam Venable; three brothers, Charles (Shereeva) and Vashion Cofield, and Demetrius Foreman; two sisters, Kisha Cofield-Shaw (Tracy) and Darnell Cofield; two aunts Shirley Barham and Evonne Whitaker (Phillip); two uncles, John Jennings and Able Barham Jr.; his best friend, Bernard Moore and friend Reginald Barnes, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
