Gloria L. Erwing

Gloria Lynn Saunders Erwing, 58, transitioned from this life on September 18, 2021. She was born on July 15, 1963 in Virginia Beach, VA to the late Charles and Annie Saunders.

“Gloworm” as she was affectionately known was raised in a very loving home and had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She received her formal education through the Virginia Beach School System and attended Kellam High School.

Later in life, Gloria met and married her husband, Barry A. Erwing on April 6th, 1996. That bond lasted until her passing.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Barry Erwing; 3 children, Lakeisha Saunders, Travis Saunders, Tenesha Saunders; 2 stepchildren, Keire Erwing, Brianna Erwing; 3 grandchildren, Jah’mez, Asia, and Ziyon Saunders; 2 great grandchildren, Amiri Parker, Isaiah Saunders; 3 siblings, Linda, Charles, and Tiffany Saunders; 3 special nieces, Ashley Merriwether, Valinda and Latosha Saunders; 4 special nephews, Willie, Williams, Darryl, Terry, and Christopher Palmer; godson, Damali McFarland; goddaughter, Sarita Jarmon; and a host of special nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
