Griffin Lynn, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach at the age of 66. He was the eleventh child of Ulee and Pearl Lynn, born on February 21, 1958, at DePaul Hospital located in Norfolk. Virginia. Griffin's early years were marked by a focus on education at Granby High School and Austin Community College in Texas. His love for life and people led him to a fulfilling career in mental health. where he dedicated himself to helping others who faced challenges More than just a brother to his ten siblings, Griffin was also a true friend. On any given day, you could find him in the community, enjoying life and sharing laughs with his sister, Shelia, and his brother, Edwin.
He affectionately called the three of them the "Three Amigos" due to the close bond they shared. Family was everything to Griffin, and his love for his family ran deep. This love extended not only to his immediate family but also to his cousins around the world, especially those residing in North Carolina. He was known for his genuine, caring nature, evident in his lifelong friendships with his best friend, Bubba, and his "brother from another mother," Thomas. Anyone who knew Griffin could attest to the fact that you were always guaranteed to have a fun time in his company. His humor uplifted the spirits of everyone he met, as he never met a stranger. The memories of Griffin's life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him, especially because of the joy he so freely gave. Griffin was deeply passionate about his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys and music. Later in life, he pursued music with relentless enthusiasm. A talented guitarist. he also managed emerging local artists in the Virginia Beach area. He created countless cherished memories, sharing his love for music and life with his special friends Chelsea, Heather, Richard, and others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulee and Pearl Lynn; his brother, James Lynn; and his sisters, Betty Jean Rather and Evelyn Lynn.
Griffin is survived by his daughter, Giana Marie Lynn; his brothers, Ernest Lynn (Gloria), Ulysses Lynn (Faye), Henry Lynn (Renee), William Lynn, and James Willie, Edwin Lynn (Christie), his sister, Shelia Lynn Wiggins. His aunt, Ola Vee Shears of New Jersey, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
