Harry Lee Kirkley Jr., affectionately known as JR received his wings bound for his heavenly home on January 23, 2025, in Orange, Texas. JR was born to Harry Lee Kirkley, Sr. and Mary Ann "Dusty" Coleman-Kirkley on February 22, 1976, in Portsmouth, VA. JR grew up traveling the world with his Military dad and family. He was anxious to graduate from Bayside High School in 1996 so he could join the Army. JR enlisted for his first tour of duty, and he left the service. However, JR wanted more than a simple job, thus he changed his life’s goal, and he went back in the army and finally decided to leave with a Honorable discharge.
If JR wasn’t having a good pot of coffee, you can find him on a fishing pier catching fish for his dinner. Catching fish with his son made everything right with the world for JR. Football was a Sunday’s special moment in his life because he loved football; you would find him rutting for the Washington Commanders. "Go Redskins”
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Mary "Dusty" Colman-Kirkley. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Kymani Jayden Kirkley (Sidni Peele); father, Harry Lee Kirkley, Sr.; brothers, Dwayne Kirkley, Anthony Coleman; one sister, Monique Kirkley-Baker; and a host of nephew, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.
