Harry Lee Platt

Harry Lee Platt, 79, entered into eternal rest on March 17, 2021. He was born on November 15, 1941 in Princess Anne County, VA to the late Alexander and Rosa Mae Platt.

Harry was educated in the Virginia Beach Public School system and graduated from Union Kempsville High School. He honorably served in the US Army and retired as a civil servant with over 30 years of dedicated service with the Damneck Naval Guided Missile School and the Norfolk Naval Aviation Depot.

Harry was an avid bowler, sports enthusiast who loved college basketball, especially the UConn Women’s basketball team. Harry enjoyed watching movies, working in his yard, and spending time with family and friends.

Besides his parents, Harry was predeceased by three sisters, Ollie Mae Jones, Lubertha Platt, and Juanita White, and a brother, Clinton Platt.

Harry leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife, Bettye Platt; his daughter, Tonya Edmonds (Reginald) of Chesapeake, VA; his son, Michael Platt of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Imani and Jalen Edmonds of Chesapeake, VA and Caleb Platt of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Doretha Diggs of Virginia Beach, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
