Obituary

Henrietta Baxter Tidwell "Henri", 81, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on November 28, 2021 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was born on May 22, 1940 in what was formally Princess Anne County to the late Lonnie and Beulah Baxter. She graduated from Princess Anne Training School and continued her education to receive a certificate as a nurse's aide.

She was a widow, predeceased by David Payton and Larry Tidwell. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Mata Layton (Morris) and Marilyn Parks (Christopher); sister, Carolyn Land (Joseph); grandchildren, David and Danielle Sumner, Christopher Parks Jr; 5 great grandchildren; special cousin, Ann Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her family, she had the good fortune of being cared for by Leahnelda Edmonds who shared her love for soap operas, game shows, and the occasional shopping trips to BJs and Tj Maxx. She was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church.
