Jackie “Snake Lady” Perkins-Ware, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend known as "Lady J" transition to her eternal home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home around family.
Jackie was born on July 4, 1950 to the late Willie and Doris Perkins, the second eldest daughter of seven children in Virginia Beach, VA. She was educated in Virginia Beach City Public School and attended Union Kempsville High School.
Jackie was well known for her modeling and being the life of the party, everyone knew when Lady J showed up it was going to be one heck of a party. Jackie was loved by many people.
Jackie predeceased by husband Scotty Ware, and brother Howard Perkins.
Jackie, aka Lady J, was survived by five children, David Perkins, Lashunda Perkins, Bashawn Perkins, Keike Perkins and Naleshia Cox; four sisters, Betty Williams (Buddy), Deloris Perkins, Rose E. Williams (Clarence) and Connie Roger; and brother, Willie Perkins Jr.; six grandchildren, Dimariae, Isaiah, Cleonda, Demonte, Matthew Nsiah, Jamari Perkins and Artist Spratley; and host of nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends which will miss her dearly. And a special friend Ralph "Blind" Jones whom she adored till the end.
Long live Lady J….We Love You. For those who remain cherished memories never fade. Our love for you will always remain in our hearts.
