James Leonard Holloway, 67, of Las Vegas (formerly of Virginia), passed away in the early hours of July 30, 2025, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. Born in Virginia in 1958 to Richard and Christine Holloway, James was the youngest son of their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (Richard Jr., Larry, and George), and three sisters (Caroline, Shirley, and Vivian).
James proudly served in the United States Air Force for 13 years, last stationed at Nellis Air Force Base. He went on to work for Clark County Parks and Recreation for over 25 years, where he found great joy mentoring and working with the youth. James loved the beach, sports, and the sounds of old-school R&B and smooth jazz.
His passing was sudden and deeply felt by his family. Gone far too soon, James will forever be remembered and missed. He will be laid to rest in his beloved home state of Virginia. He is survived by his wife, two children, two grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, a host of nieces and nephews, and countless friends many of whom became family.
