James Edward Peller Jr., 70, of Norfolk, Virginia entered into eternal rest at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, July 6, 2020. He was born on January 23, 1950, in Englewood, New Jersey to the late James and Virginia Peller.

James was educated in the Englewood Public School system and attended Dwight Morrow High School. Soon after, he went to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marine Corps he was honored by receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Expert Badge. After completing a four-year term, James was honorably discharged.

James was blessed with the opportunity of being an entrepreneur. He would often be found working on cars and conducting home repairs. When he wasn’t out working, he would enjoy the precious things that mattered to him the most, which was spending time with his family and fishing.

James was predeceased by his mother, Virginia Hartley-Peller; father, James Edward Peller Sr.; son, James Edward Peller III; grandsons, Brandon F. Peller, Shawn Harris II, Frederick L. Johnson Jr.; granddaughter, Tayah N. Johnson; son in law, Leo B. Bell; and brother, Russel K. Peller.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Monica E. Johnson, Tarra S. Bell, Jaime A. Peller, Jason-Michael A. Peller; grandchildren, Kevin D. Peller, Ariel J. Cartwright, Jalisa R.
