Jashion Jameel Brooks

Jashion Jameel Brooks, also known as "Jay", 24, transitioned from this life unexpectedly on Friday, October 30, 2020. Jashion was born on November 7, 1995 to Velma Edwards in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

He received his education from the Virginia Beach Public School system and attended Corporate Landing elementary, middle, and graduated from Salem High School. "Jay" was raised in a house hold that loved the Lord which lead to him being raised in St. Stephens Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Ted Thomas and current Pastor Bruce Hughes.

Jashion loved to have a good time and could often be found hanging out with his friends, playing around with pitbulls, watching his favorite footbal team which was the Eagles, and laughing with his brother Jahkil.

Jashion was predeceased by his great grandmother, Mary Cross; great grandfather, Louis Cross; and grandfather, John Brooks.

He leaves to continue his legacy his mother, Velma Edwards; siblings, Bahja (Cree) Poston, Jahkil Mcphail, Demetri Brooks; his grandmother that raised him, Carol Brooks; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
