Jason Richard Ernsberger

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving son, husband, and father, Jason Richard Ernsberger, 43, of Virginia Beach VA. Jason passed away on May 27, 2026, from a very brief battle of pancreatic cancer.

Born June 25, 1982, in Poway, California, Jason attended Escondido High School, Escondido Ca where he graduated in 2001. He went on to earn his degree and HVAC License from ATI in 2019 and worked in HVAC until his death.

Jason loved cooking for his family and friends, riding off road vehicles, motorcycles, cheering for his favorite football team “The Chargers” and drawing with his aspiring artist daughter Raeghan, baebae!!!

Jason is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Don and Winona Nix, his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ernsberger and uncle Anthony Valek.  

Jason is survived by: His mother Leilani Berger (Donald); his wife of 17 years Danna Michaud; children, Raeghan “Baebae”, Mackinzie “Kinzie”, Michael “Mikey” (Haley); and father, Richard Ernsberger (Jeanette). Jason also leaves a host of loving auntie, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory. 

We will forever remember his warmth, his hugs and the love for his family who will carry him in their hearts always and forever.

Services will be held privately.
