Jeanette Lee Mitchell-Brown, 71, was born on October 30, 1950 in Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of the late Frank K. Mitchell and Dessie L. McMiller-Mitchell. Jeanette transitioned from this life on November 11, 2021 at home. She was educated in the New York City public school system and graduated from Walter High School.
Jeanette loved all kinds of music. Her hobby was writing poetry. She was loving, caring, and devoted to her community in New York City. She sheltered and fed hundreds of children. If she considered you a friend, you were her friend for life!
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Dessie Mitchell; sisters, Geneva Mitchell, Francis Frazier; brothers, Jimmy, Jerobert, and Eddie Mitchell; grandparents, Jeanette and James Don McMiller.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Joseph Brown; seven children, Wardell Mitchell, Janet Mitchell, Geneva Mitchell, David Mitchell, Katrina Brown-Willoughby (Mark), Regina Brown, Jarel Evans; stepchildren, Beverly Burns, Joseph Burns; twenty grandchildren; siblings, Azalea Mitchell-McDavid (Michael), Jerome Mitchell, Chester Jackson (Karin), Jackie Ceacal, Ronnie Ceacal, Derrick Ceacal; and a host of other relatives and friends.
