Jon Erick White

Jon Erick White was affectionately known by family and friends as Rick or Ricky.

Rick, the son of Rebecca White and Delmar Kearsley, was born November 12, 1960, in Beacon, NY and he was raised by his mother in Ossining NY. Rick graduated from Ossining High School in 1979 and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served honorably for three years. After leaving the military, Rick lived in a couple of different states doing a variety of jobs that included things that he loved: as a cook, a housekeeping supervisor and landscaper. Rick was also an animal lover and an avid fisherman. In 2003, he began a love affair with Lori Worthy, and they were married in June 2018. The couple relocated from Peekskill, NY to Virginia Beach in 2015, where Rick worked as a warehouse laborer for Abena, NA.

Rick was a devoted husband, and he loved the Lord. He attended Full Gospel Tabernacle in Ossining for many years before relocating to Virginia.  In Virginia Beach, he continued his walk with the Lord as a member of Calvary Revival Church.

On June 17, 2021, Rick was called home to be with the Lord after battling with illness.

Rick was predeceased by his father, Delmar Kearsley and his siblings: Fred, Sheila, Charles and Sharon.

He is survived by his wife, Lori; his mother, Rebecca White; brother, Mike Smith; two sisters, Gloria and Tanya Kearsley; two children, Sierra White and Darren Hudson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.

Jon Erick White will be forever remembered for his loving and generous spirit. He will be sorely missed.
