Juanita Elizabeth Owens, 75, transitioned from this life on September 1, 2024, in the comfort of her home. God dispatched an angel to her bedside, as we watched our loved one slip peacefully away to her eternal rest.
Juanita was born September 29, 1948, in Princess Anne County, Virginia Beach, VA. She attended Union Kempsville High School and met the love of her life, Robert Owens and they joined together in holy matrimony.
Juanita joined Piney Grove Baptist Church at an early age where she served the Lord for over 50 years. She served in the Church Love Choir, the Usher’s Ministry and the Food Pantry Ministry. Her favorite scripture was “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Proverbs 3:5. After 37 years of service, she retired from the Virginia Beach Public School System as a bus driver. She was very passionate and dedicated to her job. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking and knitting.
She was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Sarah Ferebee Jones; three siblings, Dianne D. Ferebee, James E. Ferebee and Minister Ronnie D. Ferebee.
