With our sincerest deepest regrets, we announce the passing of our beloved Keyon Lamar Turner, 22, of Virginia Beach, VA on February 5, 2021. Born February 9, 1998, in Norfolk, VA, Keyon was known for his humble pure loving heart. Full of smiles, joy, jokes, and laughter, he lit up every room he ever walked into. Keyon was such a friend to everyone, always offering a helping hand, dearly loved and genuinely respected member of the community, and mentor to many. He loved his family and friends, and was a bridge for so many connections.
Also known as “Speedy” for his athletic ability in football and track, he graduated from Tallwood High School and continued with the many friendships he made there. Keyon was such a natural at everything he did and loved sports, his dogs, fashion design, skateboarding, and gaming.
He is predeceased by his step-father, Dennis Ostromecky, grandmother, Trina Lewis, great-grandparents, George & Mary Turner, and cousin, Ashton Lacey Goodman.
He is survived by his loving mother and father, April Speller and Robert Turner, and his brother, Kaneii Turner; his grandparents, Columbus & Barbara Speller and Rodney & Deloris Turner, Sr.; aunts Tashondi Waverly (Robert), Kandi Billups (Toby), Brandy Brown (Leroy), Roxanne Turner and Rashima Turner; uncles Columbus Speller, and Rodney Turner, Jr.; along with a whole host of cousins, dear family, and friends that love him so deeply. He has touched so many lives, will always be in our hearts, and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this time of mourning.
A celebration of Keyon’s life will be held at Beach Funeral & Cremation Services on February 15, 2021 at Noon. A viewing will be held from 10-12 AM before services.
