Kieran M. Powell

Kieran Marvin Powell, 21, received his angel wings and became a treasure to the king on August 1, 2020.

Kieran was our gift from heaven on March 30, 1999. He was born at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital to Marvin and Erica Powell. Kieran was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system and graduated from Green Run High School, class of 2018.

Kieran AKA “Papa”, AKA “KingK” was a sweet, kindhearted person, who enjoyed life and living it to the fullest.  He was always helpful and concerned about his family and friends. Papa titled himself as the protector of the family and he stayed true to his title. He protected everyone from everything. He was funny and knew how to make you smile or laugh even when you didn’t want to. Kieran was a big sports fan who played sports a well. He loved his little brothers and supported their sports careers also. His favorite professional teams were the NY Giants and the NY Knicks.

Kieran leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Marvin and Erica Powell; siblings, Kiera Edwards, Keon Powell, Kean Powell, Sahiem Marshall, Emmanuel Skyers; grandmother, Bertha Guzman; aunts, Evangeline Laughinghouse, Sandy Dixon, Samantha Laughinghouse, Lakeisha Glaspie, Latanya Pinckney, Alvarine Powell, Shereen Powell, Sheleque Powell; uncles, David Laughinghouse, Michael Laughinghouse, Corey Pinckney, Kelvin, Kinard & Kareem Henderson, Kauan Stanback, Marlon Powell, and a host of other relatives and friends.
