Larry Darnell Bazemore

Larry Darnell Bazemore, 65, entered into eternal rest on May 15, 2020. He was born on July 25, 1954 to the late Frank and Catherine Bazemore in Windsor, NC.

Larry attended the North Carolina public school system and graduated from Bertie High School in 1972. He had an early relationship with God thanks to his grandmother, Rosetta Roscoe who took him to Mount Airy Holiness Church, Windsor, NC where they worshipped every night of the week and twice on Sundays.

Larry loved working with food and throughout his career, he was employed as a cook at the Cavalier Hotel, Morrison Cafeteria at Hilltop, Piccadilly at Military Circle and Golden Corral. Larry loved everybody. He was a sweet, quiet and patient person who would help anyone he could. He loved listening to music and occasionally dancing.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Melvin Bazemore of Portsmouth, VA, Fannie Whitehead of Brooklyn, NY, Wanda Bazemore of Brooklyn, NY, Arnita “Peaches” Jordan (Ray) of Stafford, VA, Frank Bazemore Jr., Kenny Bazemore, Denise Bazemore and Ronnie Bazemore all of Brooklyn, NY; aunts, Dorothy Russell of Bronx, NY, Joyce Speller, Lorraine Stewart, Lois Mitchell all of Windsor, NC; special aunt, Lena Brown of Chesapeake, VA; special cousins, Gordon Sessoms of Chesapeake, VA, Joy Brown of Norfolk, VA, godson, Emmanuel Owusu of Ghana; 10 nieces; 6 nephews; 5 great nieces; 3 great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
