Larry Lee Gallop was born on August 31, 1958, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late Louise R. Gallop and Willie Gallop. He was one of twelve children, having seven sisters and four brothers.
Larry dedicated his career to the City of Virginia Beach, where he worked as a Custodial Technician II until he faced an untimely illness. He was passionate about fishing, enjoying good movies, racing cars, and cherishing time with his family and close friends. With his outgoing personality, spending time with Larry guaranteed moments of uncontrollable laughter. He was never afraid to express what everyone else was thinking.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Ann Gallop of Virginia Beach, along with six children: Larty Gallop Jr, Cierra Holloway, Tearea White (Zachary), Joseph Smith, Diamond Holloway, and Jayln Gallop. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Princeton Lee White, London White, Zuri White, Vayla, and Vayana Lindsay, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
